Since I was a little girl, I dreamed of owning a hair salon!

It was the magical place that made me forget that I thought I was ugly and unloved..

​

​

I had no idea that I would become a licensed cosmetologist (1999) along the way..

​

 

I became a full time hairstylist in 2006 and worked at a high end commissioned based salon..

 

 

I gained some nuggets from that experience!  The things that stand out to me the most are:

-How to do a proper consultation

-How to create a salon experience that attracts quality clients

-How to build clients relationships

 

 

 

After building my clientele there, I opened my own salon (Euphoric Essence Salon) in 2008! (YAY!)

 

My specialty was styling and maintaining healthy relaxed long hair.. (thats what I had at the time)

 

As much as I enjoyed it, I knew because of the chemical exposure, my health challenges would prevent me from doing it long term..(I will tell you about that in class)

In 2010, the natural hair wave came in strong, but I didn't want to join the party even though I should have..

​

​

I kept referring my clients to other hairstylists who did natural hair..I feared what my future as a hairstylist would be because I was unwilling to learn something new..

Well I got pregnant unexpectedly in 2012 and had to stop doing hair because of health limitations..

​

​

I honestly thought that was God showing me that my career in the hair industry was over.. 

​

​

I was a stay at home mom for 4 years and during that time I became a Cert. Wellness Coach.

 

In 2016, I was educated about how harmful ingredients in hair products effect health negatively..I was so blown away by the new found knowledge that I wanted to tell the world..

I also got the itch to go back to doing hair, but in a different way..

​

After much prayer, I made the crazy and scary decision to re-open my salon AND rebrand it, which caused me to start over in business from ground zero!

​

My new Salon Brand serviced Natural Hair clients in a non toxic and safe environment that was free of chemical exposure to preserve me and my clients' health..

​

This rebranding also meant that I was going to do something I didn't have much experience with...Natural Hair..

​

​

I know you are thinking.."What was she thinking?" lol Crazy right?

 

My plan was to use my knowledge as a Cert. Wellness Coach and focus on the overall wellness of my clients and its connection to reaching their hair goals.

​

I  created The Euphoric Consultation as a way to find out my clients' hair & health history, hair issues and goals so that I could create a plan to help them reach their hair goals.

​

Even though it wasn't my intent, it became the perfect introduction to a long lasting client relationship!

​

There were MANY BENEFITS that came from The Euphoric Consultation..

​

-It exposed my knowledge as the healthy hair expert (even though I wasn't with Natural Hair)

-It built immediate trust with my clients

-It made them connect and invest in reaching their hair goals with me

-It introduced them to a healthier lifestyle they didn't know they needed, but fell in love with..

AND MY BUSINESS GREW!!

To my surprise, I made over 5k in revenue in my first several months, while working less than half of the amount of time that I was working before. 

​

Who knew so many women wanted to dive deeper than a look and create a lifestyle of being beautiful inside and out...

​

I was booked to capacity even though I was teaching myself how to do natural hair behind the chair...I still think back in disbelief, but I was determined to learn so I could help my clients..

 

I saw the light at the end of the tunnel and it was so freeing!

I was so much healthier and I had peace of mind because I was doing something to preserve me and my clients’ health, help them reach their hair goals and making more money!

​

In 2021, I retired as hairstylist. My clients were devastated as you could imagine..

​

When they asked me for referrals, I honestly had none..

​

I had created a brand that was set apart and my clients (especially my clients with health challenges and that are health conscious) were looking for something similar..

 

On numerous occasions clients have told me how The Euphoric Consultation and my salon experience was nothing they had encountered before and it was the sole reason they trusted me with their haircare from day one.

It was the sign that I needed to share my secrets to help other hairstylists make more money and work less hours!
